Brian Wilson gave his first formal interview for eight years on the UK BBC 2, TV
show 'Old Grey Whistle Test.' 1983, Frankie Goes To Hollywood kicked off a seven

1960, Ray Charles went to No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Georgia On My
Mind', a No.24 hit in the UK, 1969, 'Sugar Sugar' by The Archies was at No.1 on the
UK singles chart. The single became the longest running one hit wonder in the UK
with eight week's at the top of the charts. in 1981, The Police had their fourth UK No.
1 single with 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic'and in 1987, T'Pau started a
five week run at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'China In Your Hand'. In 1995,
Blur brought chaos to traffic in central London, England when over 3,000 fans turned
up for a signing at 'Book's Etc' in Charring Cross Road, in 1999, Robbie Williams
went to No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'She's The One / It's Only Us', and in
2004, The Rolling Stones were refused permission to pursue a claim against their
former record company Decca for unpaid royalties through the courts. In 1936,
Freddie Garrity, was born to become the vocalist with Freddie & The Dreamers.

industry data showed that sales of singles were at their lowest level for 25 years, making

Tennessee. 1958, Soul singer Sam Cooke was injured in a car crash in Marion, Arkansas.
1961, Elvis Presley was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'His Latest Flame/Little Sister.'
1967, The Beatles filmed three promotional films for their new single ‘Hello Goodbye’ at
the Saville Theatre in London. 1973, Elton John started a eight week run at No.1 on the
US album chart with 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road', the singers third US No.1. 1975, David
Bowie was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'Space Oddity.
1979, Fleetwood Mac scored their second UK No.1 album with 'Tusk' and The Eagles went
to No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Heartache Tonight'. 1984, Former Rufus singer
Chaka Khan was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'I Feel For You.' Written by Prince,
the song featured Stevie Wonder on harmonica.
1997, American session guitarist Tommy Tedesco died of lung cancer aged 67. Described by
"Guitar Player" magazine as the most recorded guitarist in history recording with The
Beach Boys, Everly Brothers, The Supremes, The Monkees, The Association, Barbra
Streisand, Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Zappa, Sam Cooke, Cher, and Nancy and
Frank Sinatra. And played on many TV themes including Bonanza, The Twilight Zone,
M*A*S*H and Batman.
2002, Westlife went to No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'Unbreakable' the Irish boy bands
record breaking 11th UK No.1.
[2007, the mother of Kanye West died after complications following surgery at the age of
58. and Carrie Underwood was at No.1 on the US album chart with ‘Carnival Ride’, the US
Country pop singers second album and first No.1.
2008, Coldplay were declared the biggest-selling act of 2008 at the World Music Awards
held in Monaco.

1955, The Everly Brothers made their first studio recordings cutting 1958,
Elvis Presley's 'Hound Dog', exceeded three million copies sold in the
USA, 1959, Johnny Mathis started a five-week run at No.1 on the US album
chart with 'Heavenly'. In 1961, Brian Epstein saw The Beatles playing live
for the first time during a lunchtime session at The Cavern Liverpool,
1965, Wilson Pickett made his UK live debut 1966, John Lennon met Yoko
Ono for the first time 1967, the first issue of Rolling Stone Magazine was
published in San Francisco. 1974, Bachman Turner Overdrive went to No.
1 on the US singles chart with 'You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet',1996, Robson
and Jerome scored their third UK No.1 single 1999, Gary Glitter appeared
at Bristol Crown Court, England charged with seducing and sexually
humiliating a 14 year-old girl. 2003, Kylie Minogue scored her seventh UK

1952, The first ever UK pop chart was published by the New Musical
Express. 1963, Dusty Springfield set out on her first UK solo tour1965,
The Beatles worked on a new George Harrison song ‘Think For Yourself’
at Abbey Road for their forthcoming Rubber Soul album. and in 1969,
'Something' the first Beatles A-side composed by George Harrison
entered the UK singles chart. In 1975, Elton John was named Godfather to
John and Yoko Lennon's son Sean. In 2000 Spice Girl Mel C made a foul-
mouthed attack on Westlife, calling them 'a useless bunch of talentless
tossers' and ' in 2007, four men were arrested on suspicion of perverting
the course of justice after Police raided a house in Camden, London
belonging to singer Amy Winehouse.
7th November
1958, Eddie Cochran made his UK chart debut with 'Summertime Blues'.,
The Beatles went to Ireland to make their only two appearances ever in
the country Reg Dwight (Elton John) and his song writing partner Bernie
Taupin signed to DJM publishing and The Rolling Stones kicked off their
6th North American tour at Fort Collins state University, Colorado.
In 1981, Hall and Oates started a two week run at No.1 on the US singles
chart, Shakin' Stevens went to No.1 on the album chart for one week with
'Shaky.' In 2002, Whitney Houston's husband, Bobby Brown was
arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, and in 2004, Elton
John turned the air blue live on BBC Radio 1
3rd November and Jerry Lee Lewis bursts onto the scene, Elvis was in
Germany with the US army and the Beatles were filming their Magical
Mystery Tour. M was not just working for James Bond and Billy Ocean
was a hit with the Queen. Britain´s first Museum of Pop Music was in debt
and the world lost the living legend Lonnie Donegan.
2nd November and the excitement of seeing Fats Domino causes a riot,
Tommy Edwards was at number 1 and Tom Jones was on tour in 1967.
George Harrison was the first Beatle to have a world tour, it was a lucky
day for Stevie Wonder and U2 both with chart-toppers and Eric Clapton
got his rewards and became a CBE. A gang tried to capture a Spice Girl
and Led Zeppelin played their reunion gig.
1st November and Vince is ´live´at Cool FM on the day when James
Brown started his career with the Famous Flames in 1955, the Beatles had
their 13th number 1 album in the USA, and Elton John was number 1 in
the USA in 1975. Barbie Girl started her life with Aquq, All Saints were
voted the sexiest females ahead of the Beverly Sisters Westlife were at
number 1 in 2005 with You Raise me Up.
