Chris tells us about the first Catholic church on Wirral. He'd been
reading 'The History of the Building of St Werbergh's Catholic Church
and School, Birkenhead and the anti-Catholic riots of the 19th Century'.
The book cost one pound and can be bought from the parish! The
parish was founded in 1835. Chris tells us why Birkenhead was called
the one-eyed city and we found a few family secrets...Here's
WikiPaedia's explanation

Chris always has plenty to talk about and we had been looking at a
great Facebook page run by Caz Whitfield whose group was Carol
and the Memories. We had plenty to discuss and Chris takes issue
with Bill Harry over some of his memories. Bill does a very good job in
his writing whereas Chris has another point of view. We also looked
at various other parts of this Merseybeat story
